Neo-Tulle® with Chlorhexidine
Presentation
- Neo-Tulle® with Chlorhexidine wound care plasters for healing and burns.
Properties
- Antiseptic dressing.
- Does not adhere to the wound and allows a painless removal.
- Allows to space renewals.
Indications
- NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine is used only for local care. NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine is indicated for a wide range of wounds where there is an infection risk, or on already infected wounds, in conjunction with systemic antibacterials. The range of wounds on which NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine may be used include :
- Minor burns and scalds
- Lacerations, abrasions and other skin loss wounds
- Donor and recipient graft sites
- Leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and of epidermolysis bullosa.
Contraindication
- NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine is against-indicated in case of allergy to one of the constituents.
Precautions of use
- Precautions for use :
- NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine should not be used on more than 10% of the body area.
- The NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine should not be used in known cases of sensitivity or allergy to Chlorhexidine.
- Dermatitis, contact sensitivity or photosensitivity may rarely occur.Anaphylactic reaction to Chlorhexidine has been reported, but is rare.
- Avoid contact with eyes, middle ear, meninges and brain.
- NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine is incompatible with soaps, other anionic materials (eg some skin cleansers), as well as potassium iodide
- The use of the NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine detergents wound cleansing agents (eg: Eusol, hydrogen peroxide and iodine solutions) should be avoided.
Mode of action
- NEO-TULLE® with Chlorhexidine acts as a barrier between the wound and a secondary
dressing, allowing the exudate to pass into the absorbent secondary dressing.
- The Chlorhexidine acetate antiseptic is slowly released from the dressing, giving long lasting action against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
Packaging
- Neo-Tulle® with Chlorhexidine is packaged in an individually wrapped sterile protector for the withdrawal and use of the product under aseptic conditions.
