Fixaderm Stérile® eau protect
Presentation
- Fixaderm sterile® water protect is an hypoallergenic transparent and aerated
polyurethane pad with a central antiseptic and anti adherent compress.
Indication
- Wounds which may be in contact with water.
- Protection of surgical wounds (wounds opened by cellyo lacerations)
- Acute wounds : abrasions, burns, cuts...
- IV catheter site.
- Surgical incisions.
- For patients with fragile skin.
- For sutured wounds and after blood sample.
Properties
- Hypoallergenic, it respects the sensitive skin.
- Waterproof it allows taking baths or showers.
- Microbiological selective barrier.
- High absorbent antiseptic compress allowing a painless removal.
- Conformable and soft, it adapts to all body areas and respect movements.
- Capacity of resistance to chemical agents (water, alcohol, solvent) organic (blood, serum).
- It Leaves no adhesive residue.
- Effective, its strong adhesive allows it to stay in place until 1 week.
- Transparent support for a better visibility of the wound state.
- Ronded edges for better holding.
- Sterile - Sterilised by ethylene oxide.
Operating instructions
- 1.Degrease skin and dry it before application.
2.Open package and remove product.
3.Remove the anti adhesive strip, exposing the adhesivesurface.
4.Apply the pad on the wound.
5. Slight pressure on the entire surface to join the dressing.
6.Peel the protecting blue film from the pad.
7.Smooth the dressing from inside to outside.
Precautions for use
- Check the integrity of the packing before use
- Stop all wound bleeding before use
- Avoid stretching when applying the pad
- Clip of site hair to allow painless removal
- Apply on dry skin to avoid any irritation and to allow better adhesion
- Single use - Do not resterilize
